Honeywell Aerospace, the leading global provider of aerospace systems, opened two new plants in Chihuahua City, where it has been making aircraft parts since 2006.
The new facilities will manufacture engine assembly parts, auxiliary power units and special processes for Airbus, Embraer and Gulfstream aircraft.
With the latest move, Phoenix-based Honeywell Aerospace increases its workforce in the city to more than 800 highly trained technicians. The company is adding about 250 new jobs with this $50 million expansion.
Mike Owens, vicepresident of Honeywell Aerospace, said Chihuahua State was the choice platform for expansion because of the success the company has experienced during the last three years here and the Chihuahuan employees' excellent work ethic and commitment.
Honeywell's new buildings are located at the Parque Industrial Sur.
