Tighitco Inc., designer and manufacturer of aerospace and industrial components, launched Wednesday a $10 million, 3,500 square-meter manufacturing plant in Chihuahua City.
The American company began working in the State nine months ago and now has formally joined Chihuahua's fast-growing aerospace cluster with its new aerostructures plant.
Tighitco Aerostructures Chihuahua will produce metal components for aircraft firms like Boeing, Sikorsky and Hawker Beechcraft, the later with operations in the Chihuahua City, too.
Tighitco already has a plant in the state of San Luis Potosí, where it manufactures heat-sealed and molded insulation products as well as composite structures.
The opening ceremony was attended by State Governor Jose Reyes Baeza Terrazas and Humberto Santiago Martí, president of Tighitco Latinoamérica.
Peter Nicolas, president of Tighitco Inc., said the new plant has an additional 15,000 square meters of land for future expansion and created 180 new jobs.
The new Tighitco plant is located at the Chihuahua Sur Industrial Park. |
