The Delphi Mexico Technical Center (MTC), located in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, celebrated its 10th Patent Award Ceremony to honor inventors who contributed to the company's high-tech expertise during 2008.
Designs from ten engineers won the MTC eight patents during the year.
This time, engineers with the most patents awarded were Carlos Urquidi, from Juarez, and Dr. Yingjie (Jack) Lin, with three patents each.
The other engineers with patents awarded for their 2008 inventions were Alejandro Moreno, Héctor Rodríguez, Daniel Moreno, Leonel Barrera, Tonny Skinner, Harry Levers, Vishy Subramanian and Santos Burrola.
The Delphi MTC employs engineers from nearly two dozen countries.
More than twenty languages are spoken at the MTC, and most of the workforce is bilingual, though the predominant work language is English.
MTC inventors have earned nearly 200 U.S. patents since 1998. The company has been in Mexico since 1978.
Some of the MTC services include engineering and development, product and process design, project management, and testing and validation. |
