The Chihuahua State government handed Affinia, the leading manufacturer of automotive replacement parts, a financial support package for its payroll tax obligations at its Juarez plant.
Grupo Affinia is currently investing $10.5 million in its Ciudad Juárez plant, where it created 600 jobs.
Affinia established a brake production and distribution facility in Juarez late last year as part of its transformation plan.
The company's plant, located at America Industries-Kimco Juarez Industrial Park, is initially focused on brake shoes and other brake componentes previously manufactured in the United States.
The 200,000-square-foot building is designed for expansion of up to more than 270,000 square feet if needed. |
