Centro de Entrenamiento en Alta Tecnología, a technology training center in Juarez and Chihuahua City, graduated 89 new technicians, most of whom work in foreign and national companies with operations in the State.
Most of the newly certified technicians are from companies including Delphi, Covidien, Complementos Industriales, Epson, Honeywell, Lexmark, Strattec, Manufacturera El Jarudo, P y B de México, Toro, VS Precision, Werner and the public at large.
The graduation ceremony was held at the Cibeles Convention Center last June 26.
Cenaltec was founded in Ciudad Juarez at the urging of some companies who had a constant need of skilled workers.
The Chihuahua State Government, in coordination with the federal Secretariat of Education, created the Centro de Entrenamiento en Alta Tecnología [High Technology Training Center] with an initial $5 million investment.
Technical training programs offered by Cenaltec include:
- High-precision machining
- Plastic injection molding
- CNC machining
- CAD/CAM Design
- TIG/MIG welding
- Lab metrology
- Draft/tolerance reading
- Industrial English
Cenaltec is also planning to offer:
- Surface Mount Technology
- Networks
- PLC hydraulics/pneumatics
