CENALTEC's existing facilities have been operating in the city of Chihuahua (at the Chihuahua Industrial Complex) since September 2006.
Because of the demand of the aerospace industrial sector, there has been an expansion in facilities to meet the needs of this growing industry, at the South Industrial Park.
The education program for structural, mechanical and electrical assemblers will be ready on time, with coordination of CENALTEC.
CENALTEC has European and American Certifications in metal-mechanics skills awarded by NIMS and ROC Heindhoven.
The State Government -through the High Technology Training Center (CENALTEC)- will provide support to develop programs, course materials and training courses in coordination with educational institutions.
The State of Chihuahua has vast resources in public technical education, with schools such as CONALEP, CEBETIS, CECYT, CECATI and CENALTEC.
There are educational programs in plastics, metal-mechanics (conventional and CNC machining), sheet metal assembly, electrical and electronics.
About 32,000 students are enrolled in technical programs in the State.
All training centers are available to work with certificate programs upon request and with support from industrial companies.
The Chihuahua University, UACH, has included an aerospace engineering Bachelor's Degree in collaboration with New Mexico State University.
Educational institutions have agreed to have flexible programs to be customized according to the needs of industrial companies, in coordination with the Council for Education-Industry Liaison, COVAP.
Chihuahua is the only state in Mexico with a proven training program at all levels of education in order to customize educational programs to the needs of the aerospace industry.
Several companies in Chihuahua have been benefited from this program and it can be applied to any training needs.
