The State Government offers support to investors which: - Impulse the creation of new jobs.
- Invest in higher value added processes.
- Develop local and/or national suppliers.
- Implement new technology.
- Invest in different zones of the State.
- Generate social benefits.
The State Government offers incentives to industrial enterprises which bring new industrial projects or that increment the production levels in their plants.The Secretariat of Industrial Development works in coordination with the investors offering services according to their needs to aid them to establish in the State under optimal conditions. The State Government will offer incentives through polices designed to stimulate the attraction and retention of investments as well as the creation of new jobs. Fiscal Incentives from the State Government - Up to 50% cutback on wage taxes for a period of time for the Cities of Chihuahua and Juarez.
- Up to 100% cutback on wage taxes and property taxes for a period of time for the other cities in the State.
Non-Fiscal Incentives - Scholarships for each new job created for direct labor personnel, through the State Employment Service. Currently this service amounts to 1.5 times the minimum wage for each employee for a period of up to 30 days, depending on the complexity of the production process.
- Incentives for continuing education for adults hired, and for hiring senior citizens and handicapped people.
Fiscal Incentives by the Federal Government Based on Article 219 in the Wage Added Tax (LISR), the Technology Adjoin Committee from CONACYT, offers a fiscal incentive to companies working on technological R & D projects. This incentive is applied by means of a fiscal credit worth 30%, which is applied toward the wage added value or on taxes on assets. Eligible expenditures and investments: - The expenditure and investments headings, eligible for this fiscal incentive are those directly and exclusively related with the development and execution of research, innovation and development of projects.
- Third party contracts, as well as with universities, higher education institutions, institutes, investigation centers, and with engineering companies and/or specialized consulting services.
- Salaries and fringe benefits for technical and R & D personnel participating in the project.
- Consulting and expert fees directly related to the project.
- Travel expenses fees directly related to the project.
